With so many different species of animal found all around the world, it is no wonder that there are so many tales and stories of animals that have been put down to being simply legends, but are they? Here we will begin to look at mythical creatures from around the world starting with the Chupacabra...
The Chupacabra or el chupacabras,as it is often known, is a heavy set mythical creature native to the parts of both North and South America although it is mainly associated with an unidentified animal seen in Puerto Rico. Sighting of the Chupacabra started in the 1900s and stretch from Northern Maine to Southern Chilie.
Very little about the Chupacabra is known apart from the fact that the Chupacabra has a habit of attacking livestock and then feeding on the blood. Phyisical descriptions of the Chupacabra vary drastically but it is thought to be about the size of a small bear with scales and a row of spines reaching down its back, although eye witness sightings are generally of coyotes!
