Being stuck is no fun. Whether you fell down and hurt yourself and can’t move, got caught in a trapped car, or were trapped in some other precarious situation. Well, just like we hate being caught or trapped, so do animals. Let’s see a small hedgehog get stuck in the video below. He just can’t get out on his own.

Wild Hedgehog Sighting
The next YouTube video posted at the top of this blog post takes us to Germany. We say Germany based on the language that the ladies in this video are using. This video was found and shared by Compass Media. This channel finds the best videos on the internet and shares them with its followers. They share amazing videos of animals from all over. We can see animals such as black bears, lions, eagles, monkeys, honey badgers, and crocodiles, to list a few we saw.
Wild Hedgehog Stuck in a Cup
We didn’t mean to make that rhyme; however, that’s exactly what’s happened to this poor hedgehog. At the start of the video, we see that he is stuck in a cup and unable to get out. We might assume this wild hedgehog would be going crazy running around the parking lot trying to get it off.
After all, the natural reaction when something is on our heads is to get it off as quickly as possible. The loss of eyesight is detrimental to animals because they don’t know where to go or when danger is near.
However, this wild hedgehog is still not moving. Most likely, this video picked up right after he ran around wild. He’s now exhausted and just doesn’t know what to do. Lucky for this little guy, two kind samaritans happened to be strolling by, and they stopped to offer their help. Very carefully, one of the women bends down and slowly removes the coffee cup from this wild hedgehog.
He pauses just for a moment as if to say, “Thank you for helping me.” And then, without further ado, he scurries off to find refuge elsewhere.
How Big Are Hedgehogs?
Well, we can assure you that hedgehogs are not big in the least. There are 17 species of hedgehogs. And while the sizes of hedgehogs can vary based on their species, this is an estimation of what most hedgehogs weigh.
Hedgehogs are approximately .45-1.8 kilograms (1-4 pounds.) These small little fellows reach up to 20-30 centimeters in length.
As omnivores, they will eat things such as insects, worms, beetles, seeds, and fruits. What they don’t consume is coffee. But perhaps this little hedgehog liked the smell and started to lick the cup before he got caught! You better stick with a worm next time, buddy.
