Wyoming doesn’t have skyscrapers and isn’t known for having tall buildings. However, the tallest buildings in Wyoming deserve attention because they top the list for their state

The measurements of each building include spires and architectural details if they have them but not antennas. Here are five of the tallest buildings in Wyoming:

1. Wyoming Financial Center

The Wyoming Financial Center in Cheyenne is the tallest building in the state at 148 feet.

The Wyoming Financial Center in Cheyenne is 148 feet tall. Architects built it in 1990 to become an office building. You won’t only find the state’s tallest building here because you can also view the mountains from this location. 

2. White Hall

White Hall is on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie and is one of the tallest buildings in the state.

The tallest building in Wyoming is often believed to be White Hall on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie. However, people often debate its status as the tallest because The Wyoming Financial Center is a little taller. 

White Hall is a student dormitory 12 stories tall and stands over 146 feet. Builders built this building, named after Dr. Laura A. White, in 1967, and it could hold up to 587 residents. Dr. White was a University of Wyoming faculty member from 1913 to 1948. 

3. Wyoming’s State Capitol Building

The state capitol building measures 146 feet, including the spire on top of the spectacular dome. Builders used sandstone on it in Cheyenne in 1887, and architects have recently remodeled it to look like the original design. 

4. Joseph C. O’Mahoney Federal Building

This building is located in Cheyenne and stands 108 feet tall. The Joseph C. O’Mahoney Federal Building, named after politician, attorney, and U.S. Senator Joseph Christopher O’Mahoney and built in 1964, serves as a post office and courthouse. It spans 1.7 acres of land and has eight floors, including a penthouse and basement.

5. Dick Cheney Federal Building

Builders built this building, named after the 46th Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, in 1970. It stands 78 feet tall and is the workplace of over 150 Federal employees in Casper, WY. The Dick Cheney Federal Building is a stand-out structure along the city’s skyline and holds great historical significance.
