This KOA site offers great camping experiences for those living in Philadelphia and New Jersey. It’s only about 10 minutes from downtown Philly. This rustic escape is comfortable and unique.
Not all camping sites are the same. For example, here you can camp in style with KOA’s Glamping Tents. Although you can pitch up your tent, you can also rent cabins that sleep up to six. If you’re traveling with an RV, you’re in luck! This campground offers RV spaces with electric and water hookups. In this campground, there are also many amenities. For instance, you can beat the heat by enjoying the refreshing pool or fish onsite. This campground is also pet-friendly and offers pavilions, laundry, and an activity park. Bike rentals are also available.
Ridley Creek State Park
Another one of the best camping near Philadelphia is Ridley Creek, State Park. This state park is beautiful and perfect for a peaceful and scenic getaway. You can find many animals within the state park including white-tailed deer, great blue herons, foxes, and squirrels. Many songbirds also call this area home. Fishing on Ridley Creek is another popular activity. The creek is frequently stocked with trout.
Lake Owego Camp

This park is an Important Bird Area in the state.
This park is very family-friendly. Frequent events are planned. For example, you can join Six Penny Hike and look for stunning wildflowers. You can also participate in Family Fishing Night at Hopewell Lake.
Campgrounds in this state park are open from March through early January. The park also offers campers showers and modern restrooms onsite. About 60 camping sites have electric hookups. This park is pet-friendly, but pets are only allowed on certain sites. While you can bring a tent, you can also rent modern cabins and camping cottages. There are also yurts and a group cabin camp available with camper cabins, staff quarters, a central washhouse, and a dining hall.
