Since taking dogs outdoors almost daily is essential for their health, it’s recommended to always keep one of these parks in the back of your head – just in case!
1. Lincoln Park Dog Run

|Location||W Park Dr and Lakeview Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07306|
|Hours||6 AM – 9:30 PM|
Lincoln Park Dog Run can be found near the Lincoln Park Cricket Ground and quite close to a parking lot. This dog run is one of the most popular in Jersey City–it’s crowded throughout the week and on weekends. If the dog run gets too crowded, you and your pup can head to the Link Park West Wetlands & Nature Trail that takes you through the entire on-leash park.
The designated dog run is large enough to allow dogs to stretch and run around. It features several water bowls and a water fountain. It’s the ideal escape during hot summer days, as the dog run features plenty of trees and benches for owners.
Lincoln Park Dog Run has a separate area for smaller breeds. It is known for being well-maintained, especially by visitors. A fire hydrant is the park’s main attraction–from a pup’s point of view.
2. Timulty Park Dog Run

|Location||Corner of Ogden Ave & Cueno Pl, Jersey City, NJ, 07307|
|Hours||8 AM – 10 PM|
Timulty Park Dog Run is located in Hoboken. It is open to all dogs with metal tags and valid licenses. The designated dog area is fenced, thus allowing for pups to be set free from their leashes. There are no separate areas for different sizes of breeds. The dog run features a fountain that pups can use to cool off during hot summer days.
The main downside of this dog run is its size. It might be too stressful for your pup to play here on a crowded day. Therefore, it’s recommended to try and visit Timulty Park Dog Run only if you live in the area.
