Even true believers of astrology must take zodiac sun signs with a grain of salt. The sun sign is an important part of someone’s astrology, but it is only one part. It has become the most popular part of astrology to learn about because it only requires knowing your birthday, whereas other aspects of your birth chart, like moon sign or rising sign, require the exact time and place of birth.

So, when people ask about the most dangerous zodiac sign, they are looking for what some might consider astrological “gossip.” No one zodiac sun sign is the most “dangerous.”

Plus, it’s all subjective. What seems dangerous and edgy to one person might be fun and adventurous to another. Many believe that astrology is more about noticing patterns and identifying areas of compatibility rather than pre-judging people based on one aspect of their chart. Astrology does not predict someone’s future behavior. However, it can be used to explain manifestations of certain qualities and personality traits.

In the spirit of entertainment, each listed astrological sign contains information about famous criminals of that sign. Please note, these sections may have mention of violent crimes such as murder or sexual assault.

So, keep reading to learn about myths surrounding some of the most controversial zodiac signs. If you are looking for the #1 most dangerous zodiac sign, you might be disappointed as it doesn’t really exist!

#1 Gemini: Most Misunderstood Zodiac Sign

Geminis need to follow their passion for maximum satisfaction in life.

Gemini, the 3rd sign in the zodiac, is symbolized by the twins. Many believe this means a Gemini is two-faced or untrustworthy. However, what people need to understand about this air sign is that Geminis are simply moving much faster than other people both in their heads and out in the world. To those who do not have Mercury, the planet of speed and communication, as a ruling planet, a Gemini can seem duplicitous, changing their mind quickly or getting distracted by the newest, shiniest thing.

However, for most Geminis, this behavior is not fake or manipulative. They are just moving so fast and take on new information so easily that their changes and mutations in this life are usually pretty genuine. They are simply helpless to follow their whims and passions. If they are held back from them, they can go through periods of depression. When you accept a Gemini as they are instead of expecting them to adhere to your ideas of how they should behave, your Gemini relationships will improve.

Geminis are often quite unconventional and quirky. They do really well when they work for themselves, so they might have unconventional jobs. They are also attracted to unconventional types of relationships, like open relationships, because they feel stagnant in relationships pretty easily, and do have a reputation for cheating in monogamy. Accepting a Gemini as they are doesn’t mean you have to accept rude or dishonest behavior. It means you should encourage them to follow their passions. Don’t be offended if that takes them in another direction, literally or figuratively.

Gemini True Crime

There are notable criminals of every type of each sun sign. However, someone’s astrology may affect how and why they committed a heinous crime.

  • The infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was a Gemini. He would attract his victims using that signature Gemini charm. Geminis are generally quite flirtatious and can talk to just about anyone in any setting.
  • Serial killer David Berkowitz aka the Son of Sam Killer was a Gemini. Perhaps that influenced his preference for killing his victims in pairs.
  • Peter Suttcliffe, known as the Yorkshire Ripper, also used flirtation and conversation to get his victims to let their guard down before brutally murdering them.

#2 Scorpio: The Most Occult Zodiac Sign

Scorpio zodia sign

Scorpios can become interested in the occult.

All water signs are extremely intuitive, sometimes to the point of seeming to be psychic. However, Scorpios can have a special relationship with the metaphysical beyond their “psychic” abilities. The sign goes from October 23-November 21, so Scorpios were born at a time when many spiritual people believe the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is thinner.

Like most zodiac signs, Scorpio has a reputation for some “negative” qualities. They are stereotypically jealous and possessive in relationships, can seem shadowy or “sketchy” to others, and have a reputation for being “overly” sexual. However, it’s really just a matter of compatibility. For some, these traits work, and for others, they don’t.

A Scorpio’s jealous side mainly comes out when they are in a relationship with someone who does not share their desire for full-on commitment. They want someone who will be “ride-or-die” for them. So, they may not be compatible with signs like Gemini or Sagittarius who like their space in relationships. Cancer or Taurus may be a better match for Scorpio.

Scorpios’ shadowy and secretive side is demystified when you simply let them open up on their own timeline. You can’t pry them open like a can of sardines. You have to let them come to you when they are ready. This slow unfolding can be great for other signs that take a while to open up, like Cancer.

When it comes to sex, Scorpios are deeply passionate. They are not oversexed as some would judge. They just need to find a partner who is open-minded and whose sex drive matches their own.

Scorpio has two ruling planets: Mars and Pluto. Before the discovery of Pluto, Mars was Scorpio’s only ruler. However, after scientists discovered Pluto in 1930, astrologers included it as a ruling planet for Scorpio. This dichotomy explains a lot of stereotypical Scorpio traits. Mars is a fiery planet of action and doingness. Pluto is a more passive planet of spirituality and mystery. These planets interact to give Scorpios their moments of passion and tendency to be an “all-or-nothing” kind of person, in addition to their moments of quiet reserve and secrecy.

Scorpio True Crime

With their love of the occult and passionate side, stories about Scorpio criminals can be quite dark.

  • Scorpio Charles Manson started a cult in which he brainwashed impressionable young people into murdering seven people.
  • The Pig Farm Killer, Robert Pickton, was also a Scorpio. He lured women back to his farm, killed them, and fed them to his pigs.
  • The story of the Toy Box Killer, David Parker Ray is particularly dark and disturbing. He killed between 40 and 60 women. He kept them inside a truck trailer full of terrible torture devices that he referred to as “the toy box.”

#3 Aries: Most Likely to Be an Adrenaline Junkie

Aries Zodiac Sign

Aries may be more likely than other signs to enjoy adrenaline sports.

Do you have that friend who is not only always on the go but is often doing things you can’t believe like skydiving or fearlessly skiing a double black diamond trail? Chances are, that friend is an Aries. This fire sign loves adventure like their other fire sign counterparts but is more likely to enjoy taking a chance on something new and dangerous. Well, to them it seems fun. To you, it seems dangerous.

If an Aries gets bored they may stir up drama in their life or simply take a chance on a new adrenaline rush. To those who are more conservative or safety-oriented, they can seem reckless or even irresponsible. However, to those who love to take a chance in the same way they seem like a whole lot of fun! An Aries is the perfect kind of friend to help you get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

However, Aries can also be hot-headed with a “fiery” temper, which makes sense. They are a fire sign after all! If you can take all forms of their fire, then you may have a blast with a fire sign. If you’re not an adrenaline junkie yourself, then you can always support your Aries friend by cheering them on from the sidelines.

Aries True Crime

Aries who decide to go down the criminal path may commit crimes of passion. They may also simply enjoy the thrill and rush of committing a crime.

  • The Iceman was an Aries serial killer who worked for the mafia. He was known for his temper before he was ever convicted of a crime. Although he was only convicted of five murders, he said he actually killed between 100 and 200 people.
  • Alexander Pichushkin was a Russian chess player who made it a goal to kill 64 people to match the number of squares on the chessboard. He was also an Aries.
  • The story of Aries Leonarda Cianciulli is a grim one. She murdered three of her neighbors and used parts of their bodies for soap and cake.

#4 Virgo: Most Dangerous To Your Ego

Virgo Zodiac Sign. Abstract night sky background

Virgos can seem judgemental to some people, while others welcome their critical eye.

Mercury also rules Virgo, like Gemini. This is part of what gives them their quick tongue which is what some people don’t like about Virgos. They are likely to say what they really think, and that can bruise someone’s ego. Additionally, if they have a way they think something should be done, they won’t be shy to speak up about it or maybe insist on it. Virgos who have not worked on or evaluated these qualities can nitpick and want things to be just so. This can really wear someone down over a period of time.

Virgos also desire perfection, which is part of what leads to their strong judgment. If it’s not perfect, they don’t want any part of it. So, that can make them seem controlling and overly worried about certain situations.

However, just like any more difficult quality of a sun sign, it’s really more about compatibility than anything else. To some Virgo’s blunt affect can harm a friendship or relationship. However, those who are strong and confident may appreciate Virgo’s input.

Aquarians are a great match for Virgo’s critique because they love to analyze things. They can turn it into a fun way to learn more about themselves and other people. In the end, they may decide that the criticism isn’t true, but they will take the time to think about it first. Capricorns also typically deal well with criticism and understand Virgo’s desire for perfection because they share it too.

Virgo True Crime

Some say that with their stereotypical love of cleanliness and perfection, a Virgo might just get away with it, should they decide to commit a crime.

  • Virgo Ed Gein, the inspiration for the character Hannibal Lecter, crafted his victims into everyday objects. He used their skin as furniture covering and a wastebasket, their skulls for decor and bowls, and their faces for masks that he would presumably wear. He also had a belt made of their nipples.
  • Rodney Alcala, the Dating Game Killer, placed some of his victims in specific poses after murdering them. He was also a Virgo.
  • Henry Lee Lucas, a Virgo, said he killed more than 600 people. He later admitted to lying about most of them. He was only convicted of 11 murders, one of which was his own mother.

#5 Pisces: Most Harmless Sign With an Edge of Danger

Pisces zodiac sign

Pisces are usually sensitive and open, but difficult experiences can cause them to become closed and stoic.

Pisces is often underestimated as a sweet and creative sign that isn’t really edgy or dangerous at all. However, this water sign does have it’s deeper edges where they can get caught up or swept away.

It’s easy to hurt a Pisces’ feelings. They are compassionate people who want to believe the best about the world, so when the world disappoints them, they can feel wounded. Their rage or despair is not fiery like Scorpios. It is quiet and steady.

They are so sensitive that when they have experienced a lot of trauma or conflict, a Pisces can become extremely protective of their heart. This can lead them to appear heartless or stoic when they are truly hurting inside.

Pisces are also very creative which can manifest in so many amazing ways. However, when a Pisces doesn’t have enough stimulation in their life, their imagination can go wild. They can worry about situations that are not real or become overly anxious about what other people think about them. Pair that with a Pisces who is trying to protect their heart through stoicism and you may get someone who comes off as very cold and distanced, who might be good at hurting your feelings through their intuitive and creative thinking.

While many Pisces are well-adjusted and peace loving, others have more difficulties. To overcome this, Pisces who have these qualities and experiences can seek out counseling, therapy, or coaching to start to work on being OK with vulnerability and getting closer to people.

Pisces True Crime

Though Pisces is typically thought of as a softer emotional and compassionate sign, they can lash out if wounded in life like these three famous Pisces criminals were.

  • After a tumultuous childhood, Aileen Wuornos became an outdoor sex worker. She murdered several of her clients who sexually assaulted or attempted to sexually assault her.
  • The infamous Pisces John Wayne Gacy murdered over 30 men and boys over a span of 10 years in the ’60s and ’70s.
  • Richard Ramirez is also a Pisces. Experts believe his abusive childhood and relationship with a criminal murderer cousin influenced his criminal path which led him to murder 18 people as an adult.
