The view is from beneath the water, and straight ahead, a massive crocodile stares you down with its mouth wide open. What do you do? Luckily for the people filming the video shown below, this huge crocodile was in a safe enclosure!

Watch the Encounter Below!

Step into a Dubai mall for an incredible wildlife viewing experience.

The largest type of crocodile is the saltwater crocodile. These massive creatures can make it up to 17 feet long when male and just over 11 feet when female. However, there have been reported cases of saltwater crocodiles reaching over 22 feet long. When they’re huge, they can weigh a couple of thousand pounds! They can be found in different parts of the world, including the northern coast of Australia as well as tropical environments throughout Asia.

When you bite into a steak, you might be able to manage up to 200 pounds per square inch (PSI). Your bite force is stronger when you’re ravenous, but when you compare what you’re capable of to what a saltwater crocodile is capable of, you realize you wouldn’t want to be around one when it snaps its jaws shut. A saltwater crocodile has a bite force of 3,700 pounds PSI. This power in their jaws is what allows these semiaquatic reptiles to take down large prey animals like wildebeest.

When this video starts, it’s a bit blurry, and you can hear a woman speaking on an intercom. There’s a buzz in the environment, and you can see a man just ahead, also filming the scene. In the background, there is a large water tank and a massive crocodile in the center. Although it appears as if the crocodile is kind of out in the open, reflections on the glass, let you know that it is in an enclosure. As one of the comments states below the video, “The predator is surrounded by its prey.”

The unique sight was filmed at a mall in Dubai. Not only do visitors get a close-up look at the crocodile sticking its head up out of the water, but they also get a very clear underwater perspective. Workers are feeding the crocodiles in the enclosure using long poles with pieces of fish at the end. One of the crocodiles pushes up from the ground to try and reach it. Almost gently, the crocodile finally grabs hold of the fish, using its jaws with finesse.
