In the depths of winter, some trains in North America take on a very different role from the one they usually play. Instead of transporting passengers and cargo, these trains turn into snowplows! In this hilarious snow plow compilation video, you’ll see train after train blasting through the snow like giant plumes of smoke and, in some cases, covering curious passengers with an avalanche of snow in the process!

If you’re looking for a little laugh during these dark and cold winter months, watching these giant snowplow trains is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Through the ingenuity of their engineers and operators, some railroad companies have managed to turn parts of their fleet into surprisingly effective blizzard busters! While it may seem counter-intuitive to use a train to clear snow, these powerful machines can do a great job in harsh weather conditions. No wonder there’s no stopping them when it comes to beating back even the coldest winters.

Engineers have devised fantastic solutions to address this snow issue on railroads, such as ”spreaders”. These clever machines are light in weight but powerful enough to literally spread the snow away from the track.

However, a standard spreader for super heavy snowfall may not be up to the job. Fortunately, other options are available depending on the situation and how much snow has fallen. For example, if more than 10 or 15 feet of snow have accumulated, rotary plows and wedge plows may be necessary.

Rotary plows are powerful machines that rotate at high speeds and break up large chunks of snow, while wedge plows provide higher torque and, thus, more pushing power. These two types of plows can help clear the most extreme accumulations of snow quickly, saving precious time during midwinter storms.

As they descend upon the frozen ground, it nearly appears like magic what they can accomplish in minutes as they demolish the snow off tracks with incredible power and speed. These snow-equipped locomotives easily blast through mountains of deep snow and create enormous clouds of billowing snow that explode into the air in their wake.

Watch these snow plows in this hilarious complication video; we dare you not to laugh! These finished snow plows are a sight to behold. It’s amazing how well these trains work as ridiculously oversized snowplows, and it’s sure to bring a smile to your face on those cold winter days!
