Making a getaway from a pride of lions can spark many creative thoughts, and this farmer decided to flee from a pride of lions by driving away on his tractor.
A viral TikTok video posted showed a farmer on a red tractor surrounded by four lions, one male lion, and three lionesses prowling towards the tractor that the farmer was on. This whole bizarre situation took place in a savannah, most likely off of a farm or nearby to the farmer’s farmland.
The comments on the video were the best part, with some commenters saying that the farmer was a “meal on wheels”, while others claimed that “it is a good thing that he had gas and that the tractor didn’t malfunction”.

Not everyone is lucky enough to hop on a tractor to escape a pride of lions, and it definitely seemed to have caught the lion’s attention and prevented them from catching him.
The farmer can be glad that the tractor didn’t stall, as that would have ended badly for him. It is not clear why the farmer was out in the savannah on a tractor, but it could have been an area of land that was part of the farm.
An interesting part of this video is that the lions didn’t seem to be scared of the tractor, rather they seemed to be interested or confused as to how their “meal” was driving away from them.
Lions Vs Humans on Tractors
Although the video might look funny and amusing, messing with a pride of lions isn’t the best thing to do. Lions can and will prey on humans, leading to serious injuries or even death. We might not be the lion’s first choice of meal, but lions are capable of chasing and eating humans that come onto their territory.
Next time you come across a pride of lions (and we hope you don’t), make sure that you have a fully functional tractor to get away quickly if you are lucky.
