When we think of the animal, the “anaconda,” it’s difficult to imagine any other animal would hunt and eat this animal. This is because our minds typically go to the largest of anacondas. However, there are many different species and sizes of anacondas. Even the smaller anacondas are still quite large, so any animal hunting them will always be cautious.
This YouTube video posted below was shared by Five Zero Safaris, which is a channel that is dedicated to sharing amazing sightings on safaris. And in this case, they were excited to find this amazing footage. They share that in Brazil, two of the most apex predators there are jaguars and anacondas. This is what they had to say below about this short experience caught on video.

“Sightings like this don’t happen very often, so a very big well done, and thank you to Paulo Boute for this incredible footage!”
Two Apex Predators Fighting for Life
As the video starts, we see this enormous jaguar fighting this anaconda tooth and nail. The jaguar had this snake in its mouth and was about to walk away victorious. However, as we can see, this anaconda was fighting with such fierceness that the jaguar dropped the snake. And rightly so. This predator, the anaconda, is not an animal to be taken lightly.
Throughout the video, we see both of these animals fighting back and forth. And as we stated above, they are both fighting for their life. The jaguar is fighting for its life in the sense that it needs to eat and feels it has no choice but to take this animal down. And the anaconda is fighting to stay alive another day.
If we pause this video at 54 seconds, we see that this jaguar has gotten this entire anaconda out of the water and is pulling it up. With great agility, we see the jaguar leap up the side of this short mountain. Now, he will enjoy his meal.
What is the Largest Anaconda Ever Found?
Oddly enough, the largest anaconda ever reported was found in Brazil. It was 33 feet long and weighed 900 pounds. This enormous snake was found at a construction sight. During the construction work, a large explosion happened, and the anaconda died. This snake was so huge that they needed one of their cranes to lift it out.
