The Goldendoodle is a designer dog breed that is a mix of the Poodle and the Golden Retriever. This breed was first developed in 1969 in the United States by breeder Monica Dickens, the great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens, who wanted to create a new breed of guide dog for people with allergies. The breeder wanted to utilize the intelligence of the Poodle and the Golden Retriever while taking advantage of the Poodle’s low-shedding fur and the Golden Retriever’s calm temper.
Although they were developed in 1969, the Goldendoodle did not become popular until the 1990s which is when they became an official breed and they are currently sought after for use in agility and obedience training shows.

She loves adventure and traveling the world with her husband but always misses her favorite little man, "P", half Chihuahua/half Jack Russell, all trouble. She got dive-certified so she could dive with the Great White Sharks someday and is hoping to swim with the Orcas as well.
