Thanks to its vast high-rises and towering skyscrapers, Miami has the fourth-largest skyline in North America. In fact, nine of the top 10 tallest buildings in Florida are found in Miami. From the mid-1990s through 2008, Miami experienced the biggest real estate boom the city had ever seen. And if it hadn’t been for the Great Recession in 2008, Miami’s skyline might have been even bigger. Discover the top 10 tallest buildings in Miami and just how tall these giant buildings are.

#10 SLS Lux (Tied with 900 Biscayne Bay)

SLS Lux is one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

SLS Lux has private elevators for each residence, 24-hour surveillance, and valet parking.

Two buildings actually share the tenth spot for tallest buildings in Miami. The first is the SLS Lux building, which looms 650 feet tall. Built in 2018, SLS Lux is a luxury apartment building that is 58 stories tall. It accommodates 438 condo units and 86 hotel-condo units. Located at 801 South Miami Avenue, the SLS Lux is a favored apartment building in the area.

#10 900 Biscayne Bay (Tied with SLS Lux)

900 Biscayne Bay is one of the top 10 tallest buildings in Miami.

Also rising at 650 feet is the 900 Biscayne Bay skyscraper. Constructed in 2008, this skyscraper is located at 900 Biscayne Boulevard. Though this structure was originally going to be 712 feet tall, 900 Biscayne Bay still offers 63 floors of residential condominiums at its current height. It held the title of the tallest all-residential skyscraper along the Miami skyline until the Aston Martin Residences came along.

#9 The Marquis

The Marquis in Miami is one of the top 10 tallest buildings in Miami.

This skyscraper offers residential space and functions as a hotel.

Neighbor to 900 Biscayne Bay, the Marquis skyscraper is at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard. Erected in 2009, the Marquis houses a hotel and retail shops on its first three levels. Nine levels are dedicated to parking, hotel units, and other amenities. Residential units occupy 49 levels of the Marquis skyscraper, and the upper levels are penthouses. The Marquis stands at 679 feet tall, making it one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

#8 Paramount Miami Worldcenter

Over 50 flags decorate the top of the structure, representing the nationalities of those who purchased units during its construction.

Towering at 700 feet tall, the Paramount Miami Worldcenter is located at 900 NE 1st Avenue in Miami. Built in 2019, this project cost 500 million dollars. There are 569 residential units, and the building has unique amenities like a rooftop observatory, two tennis courts, gardens, pools, and more.

#7 One Thousand Museum

The foundation of the One Thousand Museum called for drilling to record depths of over 170 feet.

Its unique curving exoskeleton makes the One Thousand Museum easy to spot along Miami’s skyline. Rising to 709 feet tall, this high-rise residential condominium is at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard. The One Thousand Museum was built in 2019. It comprises 84 residences, four townhouses, full-floor and half-floor units, and a gorgeous two-story duplex penthouse.

#6 830 Brickell

This building was 100 percent leased before construction was even finished.

In Miami’s downtown, this office high-rise is located at 830 Brickell Plaza. While construction on this high-rise wasn’t completed until 2022, the building was 100 percent leased before it was even finished. Big names like Microsoft, Kirkland and Ellis, and Citadel Group are tenants. It stands at 725 feet tall, making this office high-rise one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

#5 Brickell Flatiron

The Brickell Flatiron is one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

Construction on the Brickell Flatiron was planned for 2008, but the project was put on hold until 2017 because of the Great Recession.

The Brickell Flatiron is a residential skyscraper at 1000 Brickell Plaza. Construction on this skyscraper finished in 2019, and the final measurement of this building was 736 feet high. That’s about one-and-one-fifth times as tall as the Space Needle!

#4 Southeast Financial Center

Southeast Financial Center is one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

Southeast Financial Center was constructed in three years. More than 500 construction workers were hired to work on the project.

Standing 765 feet tall, the Southeast Financial Center’s address is 200 South Biscayne Boulevard. Built in 1984, it is older than all the rest of the top 10 tallest buildings in Miami. The Southeast Financial Center contains a 15-story parking garage and plenty of office space to lease.

#3 Four Seasons Hotel Miami

Crafted with dense steel reinforcing and silica-fume concrete, the Four Seasons Hotel Miami was designed to hold up against harsh hurricane winds.

Found in Miami’s downtown Brickell Financial District, the official address is 1435 Brickell Avenue. Built in 2003, the Four Seasons Hotel Miami towers 789 feet tall, making it one of Miami’s top three tallest buildings. Not only a hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel Miami also consists of office and retail space, condominiums, and a parking garage.

#2 Aston Martin Residences

Constructed in Miami’s downtown by the Miami River, the Aston Martin Residences was built in 2022. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way, the Aston Martin Residences takes the crown for the tallest all-residential building in Miami and any place south of New York City. It is 817 feet tall.

#1 Panorama Tower

Because of its spot by the waterfront, this skyscraper offers panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Built in 2017, the tallest building in Miami stands at 868 feet tall. That’s about four-fifths as tall as the Eiffel Tower. Also located in the Brickell Financial District, Panorama Tower is at 1100 Brickell Bay Drive. It’s a mixed-use skyscraper with 85 stories of residential, hotel, retail, and office space.
