Many people who live in colder states throughout the United States will escape to Florida during winter. After the holiday season comes to a close and the air becomes more frigid, it’s tempting to head south for warmer weather. If you’re looking to flee the chilly temperatures and snowy climate, visit one of the warmest places in Florida. 

Here are 13 locations in Florida that stay warm during the month of January — in no particular order.

1. Key West

Known as the southernmost point of the state, Key West is a U.S. island city in the Florida Keys. Located only about 90 miles from Cuba, the city boasts a beautiful, hot, and humid climate throughout the year, remaining warm throughout January.

2. Boca Raton
