Any dancer trying to emulate Michael Jackson’s moves knows it’s a harrowing process. He was a legend not just for his vocal ability but also for all of his one-of-a-kind dance moves.

When you look at a gorilla, it’s hard to believe that humans share close to 98% of the same DNA. Our appearances are similar but still vastly different, as well as our abilities to communicate.

Nevertheless, gorillas have a remarkable ability to emulate human behavior, and sometimes, you can’t help but giggle at the striking similarities.

It’s the Gorilla Moon You Didn’t See Coming

This video is recorded by some giggly ladies who start off by saying “oh, my god” as soon as this silverback comes into view.

As if he was backstage and preparing for a show, he makes a grand entrance with that unmistakable Michael Jackson slide as soon as his cage door opens.

This smooth dancer’s name is Cenzoo, and the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina, is the place he calls home. You can tell he’s quite comfortable in his environment based on the show he puts on for the spectators.

He glides right in with swagger—straight to the women standing behind the glass. They respond delighted, amused, and perhaps a bit startled as this near 400-pound gorilla approaches them with sass and speed.

It’s as if he’s using the hay littered throughout the enclosure as his personal taxi ride. He’s so casual about it, too—the women behind the camera can’t help but laugh.

As Cenzoo approaches the glass and camera, he looks over to his left just before completing a 180-degree turn that leaves his fluffy butt front and center of the camera’s view.

“Ohhh,” you hear one of the women say, as Cenzoo stops to seemingly pose for the camera with his rear end, hind legs, upper back, and head in full view. It’s as if he’s posed like this before!

Cenzoo then walks back to the opening from where he came—but not without taking a sneaky look back to ensure that he truly dazzled his audience.

Well, Cenzoo—you did! And not just the ladies who had the pleasure to see you in person but also for the many who get to enjoy your presence via this video!
