Hornet nests are normally built above ground. If endangered, the entire swarm can attack an intruder.

Hornets gather pollen and nectar as a primary food source.

While most Hornets are about an inch long, the Asian Giant Hornet, the world's largest hornet, can grow to double that.

Single Hornets are not normally aggressive but the swarm will vigorously protect their queen and nests if threatened.
