When we think of traditional pets, our minds go to dogs, cats, and hamsters. However, people all over the world have been adopting animals into their families that don’t necessarily need to be the traditional pets we would assume. We see people falling in love with pythons, horses, pigs, cows, lions, and even bears. If we give our love to animals, they have nothing but the best love to return to us.

Smallest Horse Sighting
The video posted at the top of this blog post shares footage of the smallest horse in the world. This video was filmed and shared by the Cuddle Buddies YouTube page. This channel shares videos of a variety of different animals, such as birds, cats, donkeys, cows, foxes, lizards, and pigs, to list a few. We get to see the beauty of animals and their interactions with humans and other pets. The Cuddle Buddies shares a short description of the video below.
“This teeny-tiny horse named Peabody thinks he’s a dog with no stop button! He weighs only 16lbs but runs around his house, goes through ladies’ purses, and teases her Frenchie pups. Abandoned by his mom at 3 days old, little Pea didn’t have a bright future ahead of him. But a lovely woman named Faith brought out the stallion in this dwarf.”
Small Horse or Dog?
At the start of this video, we see this horse, Peabody, who goes by Pea for short, coming running up to the camera. Immediately, we fell in love with Pea, who is by far the smallest horse we have ever seen. His lovely owner, Faith, captured a picture of Pea standing next to two dogs, and well, Pea might just assume he’s a dog like they are.
Faith shares that she received Peabody when he was only three days old. And that his mother sadly abandoned him because he was so small and was not normal like the other newborn horses. Faith received a call that this dwarf was born, and they were planning on putting him down. However, Faith immediately jumped for the opportunity to take this horse and give him the love he needed and to help him with his physical issues.
How Many Species Of Horses Are There?
There is only one species of horse, the domestic horse. However, there are 350 breeds of horses. Let’s look at the difference between the two.
Species – “Species, in biology, classification comprising related organisms that share common characteristics and are capable of interbreeding.”
Horse Breeds – “A breed is defined as a group of horses with a common origin and possessing certain distinguishable characteristics that are transmitted to the offspring, such that the offspring possess the parents’ characteristics.”
