Every year without fail, while piling my plate with Thanksgiving fare, I’ll spy the longing eyes of my two mutts. They’re too polite to beg, but not so good at masking their desires. I’m not so good at resisting a couple of sad-eyed pups, so I end up making them small plates sans any foods that might not agree with them, and everybody’s happy. This year, however, I’m going to treat my pups to Turkey Day treats made especially for dogs. Thanksgiving is all about gratitude, and we can all agree that we are grateful for our canine companions. Scouring the web, I found seven tasty dog treats that will make your pup feel special this Thanksgiving. Continue reading to discover how to fete your pet, presented alphabetically.

Bocce’s Pumpk’n Spice Soft and Chewy Treats

Bocce’s soft and chewy treats are just what the doctor ordered for senior dogs.

Founded by Andrea and Natalia Tovar in a tiny kitchen in New York City, Bocce’s (named for their scruffy mutt) has grown into a larger kitchen, though they still prepare their treats in small batches with healthful ingredients like nitrate-free bacon and freshly roasted peanut butter from Teddies, a family-owned company in Massachusetts. Customer reviews are exceptionally pawsitive, suggesting that most dogs go nutso for these treats, even ones that are allergic to almost everything. And they are, reportedly, soft enough for senior dogs to enjoy. Discover all Bocce’s has to offer beyond the Pumpk’n Spice soft and chewy treats, which ring up at $7.50 for a six-ounce bag.

Your pup will love the peanut butter/apple dog treats from Bones Dog Bakery.

Based in New York, Bones Dog Bakery is a small business whose goal is to help you indulge your pet. They bake with human-grade ingredients like sweet potatoes and oats. Their “Thankful For Dogs Thanksgiving Cookie Collection” will make your pup feel special, indeed. The cookies are peanut butter/apple flavor and made with oats, brown rice flour, peanut butter, apple, and eggs. “We love making holiday-themed cookies for dogs,” says owner Dani Fischer. “It’s an expression of the happiness they bring us and how we choose to spread the love! Thanksgiving is one of our favorites because we’re so thankful for dogs!” Be aware that as cookies are hand-decorated, designs may vary. Snag your Thanksgiving cookies from Bones Dog Bakery, $16 for the collection, plus shipping.

Farm To Pet Turkey Feast Turkey Chips

Filled with Midwestern goodness, your pup will gobble up Farm To Pet’s Turkey Feast.

Farm To Pet, a family-owned business located in Illinois was founded on the premise that our pets deserve high-quality, healthful treats. Owner Jackson Jones set out to create a healthful treat for his dog, Rooney, and grew his business from there. Founded in 2021, Farm To Pet has created a variety of single-ingredient treats for dogs and cats. This Thanksgiving your dog (or cat!) will gobble up Farm To Pet’s Turkey Feast Turkey Chips. Made with a single ingredient, Midwestern-raised turkey, you can feel good about indulging your pup while letting them know you’re grateful for them. Check out Farm To Pet’s Turkey Feast, $27.95 for 12 ounces. Free shipping on orders over $25.

Tiny Loves™ all-natural treats focus on your pet’s health.

Farmland Traditions, a second-generation family-owned business in California, was created with your pet’s health in mind. Michelle and Victor Wu established their company after becoming disenchanted with the quality of their dog’s diet. Now run by their sons, the goal remains the same: only the most healthful ingredients are used in Farmland Traditions dog treats. Their Tiny Loves™ Turkey & Pumpkin with Bone Broth jerky treats will make you the apple of your dog’s eye this Thanksgiving. These tiny morsels are packed with flavor and suggested uses include as training treats or as tasty meal toppers. Farmland Traditions has a variety of grain-free, soy-free, and corn-free treats for your dog priced at $17.50 per pound.

Super adorable personalized dog treats are what’s on tap at Washington-based Lunabones Barkery for Thanksgiving and beyond. Lunabone’s specialty is decorative dog cookies for special occasions. An item that caught my eye is their doggo Advent Calendar, with a miniature festive cookie in each little compartment. Lunabones treats start at $3/cookie or $22/collection.
