Pollock are fished for commercial purposes because they are a cheaper and more sustainable choice compared to whitefish like Hake, Cod, and Haddock.
The Atlantic Pollock reaches sexual maturity between 4 and 7 years old and spawns in the cool waters of Canada from September to April.
Pollocks are so rich in nutrients they can be classified as a cancer-fighting food.
