Unless you have a parrot, tortoise, or another unusually long-lived pet such as certain koi fish or reptiles, chances are you will outlive your pets. Pets are exemplars of unconditional love and cherished family members, so their death hits hard. From waking up to going to bed, our pets weave themselves into the fabric of our lives. Their passing leaves holes in our daily routines, and we often find ourselves unexpectedly reminded of their absence, bringing fresh waves of grief. Though they are gone, we don’t want our pets to be forgotten. With that in mind, we have created a list of eight amazing pet memorials.

Memorial Cremation Diamonds for Dogs, Cats & Other Pets

According to the Eterneva website, becoming a diamond is an old dog’s greatest trick.

If you are in the market for the most extraordinary pet memorial, Eterneva has created the ultimate one. This Texas-based company creates memorial diamonds from cremains or fur/hair. Extracting the carbon from these items, they grow diamonds. Though it might be hard to believe, lab-grown diamonds are identical to natural diamonds, sharing the same chemical, physical, and optical qualities. Although Eterneva originally focused on creating diamonds from human cremated remains or hair, nearly half of their diamonds are now made from pet cremated remains, fur, or hair. The process, which takes 7-10 months to complete, requires 1/2 cup of cremains or one cup of fur/hair, though if you have less, they advise contacting the company directly. Take a look at all of Eterneva‘s diamonds, starting at $3,500, or $188/month.
