Located in the central Florida region is Lakeland. Equidistant to major metropolitan regions of Tampa or Orlando, this city has a lot to offer. Ranked one of the safest places in the state, this city also has a plethora of activities and amenities for children and adults.

The 38 lakes in or around the city, as it is aptly named, provide plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities for you and your family. The most popular of these is Lake Parker, which is known for fishing and boating. Cast your line and see if you can reel in a largemouth bass or bluegill.

Lakeland is brimming with family-friendly activities. The Florida Children’s Museum is a new addition to the Lakeland area opening in 2023. Every Saturday downtown Lakeland hosts the Downtown Farmer’s Curb Market with 100+ vendors selling locally produced and handmade goods.
