The largest house in West Virginia is located in Charleston, where the feel is suburban and most residents live in owner-occupied homes.

This massive mansion is one you have to see to appreciate. Inside, there are a total of eight bedrooms along with 14 bathrooms. The property is located at 230 Quarry Ridge E. in Charleston and sits on almost 25 acres of land. The home is 24 years old, built in the year 2000, and boasts a three-story foyer upon entry. There are formal rooms and dining rooms, gourmet kitchens, and even a wine cellar.

The property also has a gym, a library, a two-story family room, and a two-story great room. Although there is plenty to explore inside, the outside also offers a luxurious experience. You can head out to the tennis court or take a dip in the infinity-edge swimming pool. At one point, this house was listed for $3.95 million but it’s currently up for sale and the asking price is $3.75 million. As of 2021, the population of Charleston was 48,018. It’s West Virginia’s capital city and is known as one of the most wonderful places to reside in the state. Living here offers a suburban feel and you’ll find that most of the people who inhabit the city are homeowners. There’s plenty to do, whether you want to take a stroll in the park or you want to enjoy evenings at an upscale bar.

Generally, this is more of a conservative area where families and young professionals thrive. Demographics for Charleston are as follows: 77.8% white, 12.9% black or African American, 6.4% two or more races, 2.5% Asian, and 1.6% Hispanic or Latino. As of 2022, over 60% of people living in Charleston own their homes, and the median value of these homes is just under $173,000.
