Why Is Wisconsin Dells the Waterpark Capital of the World?

The city is home to the largest amount of indoor and outdoor waterparks in the world. It was the first place in the United States to debut an indoor water park in 1994. Today, it has five indoor water parks and a few outdoor waterparks, including the largest waterpark in America. The largest outdoor park, Noah’s Ark, offers over 50 water slides and attractions to enjoy across 70 acres. The largest indoor park is Kalahari Resort, offering a 250-foot-long slide and many other attractions!

Another reason that Wisconsin Dells earned the title of waterpark capital of the world is because the parks continually update their offerings. New slides and attractions open every year, so you can always expect to see something new!

In total, the parks in the city collectively offer over 200 waterslides, making it home to the highest concentration of parks and slides in the world!
