1. Christkindlmarkt Charleston

Strolling through Charleston’s romantic Christkindlmarkt will make even the Grinchiest of hearts grow three sizes. This romantic Christmas market features an outdoor market of goods handcrafted by vendors from across Europe and even from Nepal. Warm up with some traditional Glühwein (mulled wine) from the Biergarten, which also offers beer, eggnog, sausages, and cakes. Children can enter the day market for free, while adults can purchase tickets for $15 each. 2. Weihnachtsmarkt at Bierkeller in Columbia

A special Christmas Market pops up every year along the banks of the Congaree River in Columbia. The Weihnachtsmarkt at Bierkeller, held at the Canalside Plaza, is a uniquely lovely event featuring local goods, specialty foods, and beer (or hot chocolate). Visitors can keep warm and cozy at the fire pits. Arrive on the right day, and you might even get a glimpse of old Saint Nick!

3. Victorian Holiday Marketplace in Myrtle Beach

The Victorian Holiday Marketplace is a huge Christmas market with very special magic. It occurs yearly as part of Myrtle Beach’s spectacular Dickens Christmas Show. Upon entering the Myrtle Beach Convention Center exhibit hall, visitors find themselves transported to the time of Charles Dickens as hundreds of vendors sporting Victorian-era costumes peddle their wares. Puppet shows, strolling musicians, and even tea leaf readers provide extra fun in this truly unique market.

South Carolina’s fourth-largest city hosts a spectacular holiday market every Christmas season. The Holiday Market & Craft Show in Mount Pleasant is a cornucopia of locally crafted Christmas ornaments, trinkets, art objects, and more.
