We know that animals are capable of emotions just as we, as humans, are. And who knows why they feel the emotions of anger? It can be a variety of environmental issues, food supply issues, or the feeling of being threatened that causes them to lash out. You’re not going to want to miss this moose picking a fight with a man near his house in the video above.

Moose Picks A Fight With a Man

The short YouTube video clip shown at the top of this blog post is somewhere in North America, Eurasia, or Europe, where moose reside. Footage taken outside of this man’s house shows a massive moose picking a fight with him. The Pepper Loves Animals YouTube page reposted this video to their subscribers. They regularly share videos of animals such as deer, snakes, bears, and kangaroos to list a few.

Heroic Dog Saves Owner

At the start of the video, it is a day like any other for this man. There is a thick blanket of snow that is on the ground and on each of the cars that surround this neighborhood home. Clearly, this man is a native of this city, as he walks out wearing nothing but a t-shirt. He is followed by his tiny chihuahua, who uses all his energy to jump through the hefty snow.

Suddenly, when the man reaches the end of his driveway, he notices a gigantic moose on the other side of the street. And for whatever reason, the moose starts to charge straight toward the man! Moose can run up to 35 miles per hour, and so this dash of speed was enough to scare this man into moving out of the way as quickly as possible.

However, before the man could figure out what he would do next, his chihuahua bravely stepped in between them both. He starts to yap and run the moose in circles. He is telling him to back off from his owner.

What To Do If a Moose Charges?

There are few things more terrifying than an animal charging at you. Especially one as big as a moose (Alces alces) weighing up to 1,600 pounds and reaching up to seven feet in height. While charging is scary, we must remember that many animals will often use charging as a type of bluff to frighten their enemy away.

However, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game shares that “if a moose does charge, don’t wait to find out if it’s bluffing. Run and get behind something solid, like a tree, or retreat to a safe place inside a building or car.”

This man did the best thing he could do and not only got out of the way but used the cars beside him as coverage. And lucky for him, this little guard dog lived up to his heroic title.
