Much to the chagrin of people worldwide, snakes have an uncanny ability to slither into the most implausible areas. Whether it’s along door jambs, under vehicle hoods, or even inside toilets, they are stealthy navigation experts. One reason that plumbing may be ideal for snakes like pythons to explore is that sewers often harbor rodents. Being one of the favorite snacks for many serpent species, it becomes clear why they’d pursue such odd hunting grounds.

It’s a strange concept to take into consideration, but the chances of this kind of unexpected guest is more common than you might think. Please feel free to check out our article on why this occurs and how to prevent it here!

While entering the bathroom and finding a massive snake in the toilet isn’t a nice thought, rest assured – pythons aren’t generally a threat. These often intimidating snakes are not venomous, but they do grow to rather staggering lengths. Obviously, serpents of any size can be intimidating, especially when they’re hanging out where they don’t belong!

One thing to keep in mind is that wild pythons may bite if provoked, which can be a painful experience for humans and pets alike. That said, if you suspect any kind of snake has invaded your property, it’s best to avoid it and contact the pros. Animal control services are very familiar with the safe and humane removal of all matters of critters. Best to keep their number handy if you live in an area with pervasive wildlife!
