Fearless does not even seem like the right word to describe what this cat is. Let’s add courageous, plucky, and daring and wrap it all into the word fearless, and then perhaps we’ve reached the correct definition! Let’s see this fearlessness on this cat below.

This next YouTube video posted at the bottom of this blog post takes us to the great state of Louisiana. This state is known for having the highest population of Alligators. Hearing that there was an alligator sighting in Louisiana does not take us by surprise! These wild animals are a very common occurrence as Louisiana has the highest population of gators, just as they are in Florida, the second state with the most alligators.

There are currently over four million alligators in the world. And Lousiana has a population of half of that, two million. Florida comes in second place with about 1.3 million.

This video was filmed on the Cajun Pride Swamp Tours. A tourist captured the footage of this cat up close to this gator. This domestic cat does not know or care how many alligators there are in Louisiana. All it knows is that it is not welcome here!

Domestic Cat Vs. Wild Alligator

We might rename this section “the great staredown” as well. Because for about 60 seconds, that is all these two do. The enormous gator is simply one of the largest we have ever seen. And this small domestic cat is just starting at it like it doesn’t even notice its size in the least.

We hear the sounds of the tourists all laughing and talking through this interaction. They are astounded at the bravery, confidence, and perhaps stupidity of this cat. Because this interaction could have had a very different outcome!

Finally, at about 40 seconds, we see the gator reach in to grab some food that is up on shore, and just as he does, this cat simply reaches over and smacks this gator across the mouth! Don’t take our word for it; head to the bottom of this blog post and watch it for yourself!

How Many Cats Are There?

Perhaps this cat did know there were four million alligators in the world. But he knew that cats have a population of 600 million! So, he knew that…well, cats rule the world. As humorous as we meant that to be, cats can be found in all continents of the world, and their population status lies at 600 million in total.
