Watch Two Brave Elephants Expel a Huge Male Tiger From Their Watering Hole

Sometimes, the lion is called the king of the jungle. However, that title seems to make more sense when given to the tiger, who actually lives in a jungle! In the video below, we see one of these kings taking a break at a waterhole, likely somewhere in Asia. However, he forgot to realize it was currently an elephants-only event. As a reminder, two burly elephant bouncers chase him away in less than a minute! They didn’t even need to reach the intruder, as he decided to split the moment the fuzz was headed his way.

This isn’t to say the tiger isn’t brave or strong, as quite the opposite is true. However, as a solitary hunter, they need to choose their battles wisely. Why Do Tigers Have Stripes?

The mighty tiger has adapted a clever natural camouflage designed to blend perfectly into its surroundings. However, it may seem odd that a bright orange cat is supposed to match a dense jungle backdrop. There’s a secret behind this potential paradox, though, that researchers have recently uncovered. You see, a majority of mammals have a limited range of color. This state, known as dichromacy, causes some colors to appear as another. In the case of orange, a dichromatic will see green instead. If you imagine a green tiger standing still amidst the foliage, their disguise suddenly starts to make sense!

Oddly enough, did you know that the striped pattern also deters flies and other annoying insects? The mismatched design confuses them and wards them off from bothering tigers as they roam about. How’s that for multipurpose, natural cover?

What Do Elephants Symbolize?

Many cultures have their own take on the great elephant. Wise, powerful, and protective, the elephant is an amazing creature in the wild. However, it can be interpreted as both a thoughtful companion and a ruthless warrior. Many Asian deities share the majestic form of the elephant, and plenty of African folklore features them prominently.
