1. Best Pet Product for Dogs: Pendleton Pet Kuddler Bed

This four-sided bolster pet bed was inspired by the iconic Pendleton Woolen Mills blankets. It features a removable YKK-zippered cover so you can easily throw it in the washing machine. Its three-channeled liner keeps the 100% recycled high-loft memory fiber, which was made from discarded soda bottles, from shifting or separating.

Your pup (or maybe your cat — we won’t tell!) will appreciate the sense of security they get from the four-bolster wraparound design. And they’ll love the relief that being elevated off cold, hard floors gives their joints and pressure points.

This cozy dog bed measures 27 in. x 36 in. x 10 in., and it’s made to accommodate pets weighing up to 80 pounds. It’s available in three colors — blue, gray, and green — so you can choose one that will match your décor.

The Pendleton Pet Kuddler Bed is an attractive, well-designed pet bed and it’s our pick for the best dog product at Costco in January.

2. Best Product for Cats: Cosequin Feline Sprinkle Capsules

So what if Fluffy is getting older and he can’t jump as high? We still love him! Yet, what if you could add a simple supplement that would help support his joints to make those jumps a little less difficult?

Cosequin Feline Sprinkle Capsules may be exactly what you were seeking. In contains glucosamine and chondroitin, which have been shown to support joint health in cats, dogs, and humans. It’s not a cheap supplement, but even a pricier supplement is often cheaper than repeated vet visits!

These capsules are easy to pop open and sprinkle over your cat’s food, we prefer giving it to them with a wet food so it doesn’t fall to the bottom of the bowl. Cosequin Feline Sprinkle Capsules are our pick for the best cat product at Costco in January.

3. Best Calming Supplement for Dogs: VetIQ Calming Chews

Some dogs handle stressful situations better than others, and sometimes they need a little help. VetIQ Calming Chews contain a combination of chamomile, L-tryptophan, lavendar, theanine, and thiamine to support health responses to stress.

These do not contain corn, wheat, or soy, and have a tasty flavor that dogs love. However, be careful to keep them up and out of reach of your dogs. A couple of dogs have managed to eat a full bag and wound up at the vet because the L-tryptophan in that many chews overdoses their system.

For a soft chew that will help calm your dog, VetIQ Calming Chews are our pick for the best dog supplement at Costco in January.

5. Best Cat Furniture Deal: Vesper Cat Tree, Minou Cat Scratcher

We found a great option for those who need a smaller cat scratcher that’s still cute. The Catit Vesper Minou is small enough to fit in a corner, but offers a scratcher and hiding place in one.

We loved the compact yet cute design that has a carpeted pad in the tunnel hideout. It’s just over 14 inches long and 16 inches tall, making it a great size for most medium to small cats. The scratcher is on the outside, but some purchasers said that the scratcher portion fell apart during. However, most people had no problems putting it together.

Are Costco Memberships Worth the Price?

If Costco’s popularity is any indicator, then yes! They’re worth the price. However, that comes with the caveat of ”If you spend enough.” The basic Costco membership costs $60, and we’ve heard that they don’t plan to increase the price this year. To figure out whether it’s worth it for you, look through their website for the things you buy most frequently. Then, check the cost against what you currently spend. If you save at least the membership cost per year by purchasing the same items from Costco, then it may be worth the cost of membership.

As always, do your homework so you can make the best decision for your family – including the fur-kids.
