So, can bearded dragons eat green beans? The short answer is yes, although this food should be treated as a refreshing snack and not as a meal replacement. Green beans don’t have all the nutrients a bearded dragon needs.
Bearded dragons eat a combination of plant-based material and insects like meal worms and crickets. Interestingly, though, the diet of a bearded dragon changes as they age. When a bearded dragon grows and develops, they consume more insects. This changes as they age since adult bearded dragons mainly consume leafy greens and plants.
How To Feed Your Bearded Dragon Green Beans
Not all green beans are safe for a bearded dragon. While your pet can consume this tasty and nutritious green, it is not without preparation. It’s important to start by rinsing the green bean. After it’s rinsed, cut up the green bean into small pieces to avoid providing your beardie with a choking hazard. The most important thing though is that you don’t season the green beans. Bearded dragons don’t need the additional sodium. Salt and other seasonings are dangerous for beardies.
