The outdoor rink is nestled at the foot of several historic and statuesque buildings. Plus, there is a warming room set up to keep you toasty in between skating runs.Â
2. Northwest Arena, Jamestown
This indoor fun zone is a 501-C nonprofit organization. Private organizations and donations funded it. It is also host to popular entertainers year-round and sporting events as well. A quarter of a million visitors enter the doors each year. The arena has skate trainers for those who are not as steady as they want to be. The arena also has ice bumper cars if you prefer a less intense experience.
3. Glens Falls Recreation Center Ice Rink, Glens Falls
This rink is completely free to use and is indoors. The rink boasts skating lessons and skate rentals for a small fee. This is located in the Lake George area in the state’s great Adirondack Mountains.Â
4. Mohonk Mountain House, Ice Skating Pavilion, New Paltz
The Victoria-era setting is an open-air rink. It’s perfect for spending a nostalgic winter in the Hudson Valley and living your romantic Christmas movie fantasies.
