The season runs from October 19, 2024 to January 31, 2025. Last year, hunters brought home over 1.1 million pheasants. The 2025-25 year looks to be another excellent year for pheasant hunters in South Dakota. The daily bag limit is three roosters, and the possession limit is 15.
