Squid Game is an incredibly popular television show under the direction of Hwang Dong-hyuk. Don’t let the name fool you; you won’t see any live squids on the show. This Netflix South Korean television series captured the eyes and hearts of millions of people. It was so beloved that the show was adapted into a reality series by Netflix! The Squid Game Challenge follows 456 players competing for $4.56 million. Both shows use similar sets and games, but is the filming in the exact location? Where was Squid Game: The Challenge filmed? Was it in one place? Follow along to find out.

Light spoilers ahead.

Where Was Squid Game: The Challenge Filmed?

Squid Game: The Challenge films across two studios in the UK. The first studio was the Cardington Studios in Bedford. This studio is about 46 miles away from London. Most of the first episode was filmed during the Red Light, Green Light challenge in this studio. The rest of the series was filmed on six different sound stages in London at Wharf Studios.

Somehow, the brilliant Squid Game: The Challenge team built stunning games that mirrored the ones on the South Korean television show, including the massive dormitory. A lot of space was needed to make this happen. Perfectly, the Wharf Studios boasts over 200,000 square feet of space.
