Everyone loves puppies, but it’s all too easy to forget about the older dogs. They may not have that conventional cuteness that youth provides, but that doesn’t make the elder dogs any less adorable. Some of the most charming dogs are ones that have lived long lives, seen all types of challenges, and gained untold wisdom in the process. The best examples of senior dogs found on social media prove that age is just a number.
Whether they are disabled, blind, or perfectly healthy, senior dogs have a certain charisma that can’t be bought. As with this very website, the internet provides a glimpse into the lives of some incredible animals. Social media takes it up a notch and lets you feel like these aging canines are really part of your lives. For that reason, we’ve created a list of 25 senior dogs with social media profiles that show that spirit is more important than age.

Naia may be one of the newer senior dog social media influencers out there (only a few thousand followers), but she makes up for it with pure style. A border collie mix, based in Ontario, Canada, Naia can be seen frolicking through forests, posing in tulip fields, and exploring the snow-covered streets. All of these adventures are captured in high-quality photographs, providing an added sheen to Naia’s already exciting adventures. She is thirteen years old. A quick look at Naia will show you that she is definitely still young at heart.

In truth, Ms. Barker is just one member of the Kardoggians, a social media dog pack that has racked up over 100,000 followers on Instagram. They have cute faces, spunky attitudes, and even take candid canine photographs. While previous members Chloe, Kimchi, and Cupid have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge, reigning queen Tammy Faye Barker still holds down the fort. She can often be seen hanging out in the front yard and cuddling up tight in big, fuzzy blankets. Sometimes, Ms. Barker even puts on fashion shows, wearing a healthy mix of hilarious and adorable outfits.
Volkan

Volkan is almost 15 years old, but age hasn’t slowed down his joy or hunger one bit.
©volkansfood on Instagram
With a name like Volkan, it’s easy to guess that he is a pretty cool pup. As his Instagram handle suggests, Volkan absolutely loves food. When he’s not chowing down on his own doggy food, he can be seen greedily eyeing his owner’s dinner plate. He may have gray in his muzzle and stand at less than two feet tall, but Volkan easily makes up for these facts with his enthusiasm and unbridled confidence. Despite being nearly 15 years old, Volkan is still going strong. Plus, he is armed with a killer name and a hankering for any tasty food that enters his field of vision.

This Instagram account features a gaggle of social media stars, including Caviar, Foxy, Butter, Malibu, Lucy, Boey, Casey, Alice, Tee, and many more. The account started with a focus on Sugar, who at one point lived with 14 other dogs. Although Sugar has since passed on, many of her siblings remain in the public eye, playing, cuddling, and showing off absolutely adorable expressions for the camera. Rose’s Instagram page has racked up nearly a quarter of a million likes thanks to this motley crew of cuteness. It doesn’t seem like there is ever a dull moment in this household, except when the dogs are sleeping.

While her owner refuses to give out her age exactly, she hints that Yolandi is about 56 years in dog years. That makes this pup at least 8 years old. Her Instagram handle, yolandi_eats_la is fitting, too. That’s because Yolandi is a Southern California showstopper; she has her own YouTube channel and eats an entirely vegan diet. When she’s not sassing it up for the camera, she’s tasting the finest vegan food that the Los Angeles area has to offer.

A 15-year-old, less-than-four-pound albino Chi-mix mix, Falkor the Gobliness served incredible looks. She also radiated quirky energy and filled her owners’ lives with laughter and love. Tragically, she passed on at the beginning of this year. Even still, Falkor’s page remains one of the more endearing elder pup pages on Instagram. Tucker and Bella

Tucker and Bella are the oldest members of the house, and they command respect from their younger sibling.
©ladyandthepack1 on Instagram
The ladyandthepack1 Instagram page introduces viewers to a multi-dog family, full of spunk, adventure, and laughs. Though their ages are hard to come by, Tucker and Bella are described as senior pups, but they are always up for an adventure, and more rarely, pose for the camera together. Gilly is their larger, younger sibling. However, size doesn’t matter when it comes to this dog pack. It’s pretty obvious that Tucker and Bella run the household.

After the little guy crossed the rainbow bridge, however, his owner acquired a new pooch, just as lovable and charismatic as its older brother. Now 11 years on, Nacho Supreme remains one of the more adorable and camera-loving senior dogs to be found on the internet. He will show some serious spiciness during one moment, but just as much love and affection the next moment. Nacho Supreme even has his own theme song. Despite technically qualifying as a senior, it is likely that Nacho Supreme’s hilarious attitude will keep him kicking and barking for years to come.
Vinny

Ralph and Vinny have helped make the Hot Senior pups’ Instagram a hit.
©hotseniorpups on Instagram

They steal so much of the spotlight, in fact, that the dogs have helped catapult the page’s follower count past 280,000. When they aren’t hanging out with their human mom or siblings, Ralph and Vinny enjoy playing, cuddling, and, depending on their moods, posing for photos.
Older Labs

Older Labs showcases the best and brightest Labrador Retrievers out there.
©olderlabs on Instagram
Another great older dog showcase page is Older Labs on Instagram. While other showcase pages are attached to nonprofits, charities, or dog training services, Older Labs does it for the love of the game. Nearly every day, the page posts new photos of adorable senior Labrador retrievers. Some of them look sad, others look happy, but all of them show that age is just a number, especially in dog years. If you have a senior Lab that you think deserves a spotlight on the page, the owners are likely to oblige if you tag your pup.

©wolfgang2242 on Instagram

After his dog Wolfgang crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Greig was so beside himself that he realized the best thing he could do to honor Wolfgang’s passing was to advocate for senior dogs. The rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Greig has become a true hero for older dogs. He’s rescued at least 40 different ones, and his Instagram channel showcasing the new, charming lives of these pups has earned Greig over a million followers.
Marnie the Dog

©Marniethedog on Instagram
Marnie the Dog might be the most famous senior dog in the world, much less the most famous one on this list. While she has since passed over the Rainbow Bridge, in her time on Earth, she lived the lives of several dogs. Her hilarious facial expressions helped her reach initial fame, which catapulted even higher after many star-studded cameos, including pictures with Betty White, Gilbert Gottfried, and Demi Lovato. Marnie lived to 18 years old and racked up over a million followers in the process. Not bad for an elder pup with a penchant for sticking her tongue out.
Ella the Great Dane

Ella, the Great Dane, was such a hit that she won the 2019 Micro Petfluencer Award in Germany.
©myotherusernameisbetter_ on Instagram
Sometimes, it can be hard to catch one of the more famous senior dog influencers before they cross the famed Rainbow Bridge. Unfortunately, that is the case with Ella, the Great Dane, a massive dog with just as big a heart. She became a hit thanks to her sad faces but fun adventures. Ella became such a beloved Instagram dog, in fact, that she won Germany’s Micro Petfluencer Award in 2019. Despite Ella’s passing, the page is still going strong. Now, however, it features her younger sibling, Evee. While Evee has a little more youth in her face, she’s just as spunky and lovable as her older sibling, Ella. Her magnetic presence helps keep a long-beloved page going despite the changes.

Adopted by his dad in December of 2012, Loki spends his time in Denver, Colorado, when he’s not out and about on another adventure. Despite looking just like a wolf, Loki is actually a husky, arctic wolf, and malamute mix.
