The belief in an aura (energy emitted by all living things) is present in various religious practices, including New Age spirituality and Buddhism. Although auras are invisible to most people, they are said to come in an array of colors that reveal certain aspects of an individual’s personality, energy, and health. In this article, we will take a look at one particular shade of aura. Read on to discover what it means to have a brown aura.

Auras: An Overview

People who believe in auras believe that every living thing emanates energy fields or light, which show up as an array of colors. The color of a person’s aura reveals information about their personality traits, health, and current energy levels. Unlike a person’s zodiac sign, the color of your aura can change over time and reflect where you currently are in your life.

Seven Layers of Auras

According to ancient Hindu scriptures, there are seven layers of the body called chakras. The chakras are the main energy points in your body and run down your spine. Aura believers think that chakras can influence aura colors. When someone sees your aura color, they are reading the energy field emanating from your physical body. The color gives the aura readers clues into your current state of health, personality, and energy.

In general, interpretations of some of the colors of a person’s aura are as follows:

  • Red: Energetic, passionate, and strong
  • Pink: Nurturing, loving, and kind
  • Orange: Outgoing, open, and creative
  • Yellow: Confident and joyful
  • Green: Empathetic and loving
  • Blue: Peaceful, intelligent, and insightful
  • Black: Mysterious, complex, intense, and powerful
  • Brown: Reliable, stable, and down-to-earth
  • Rainbow: Energetic, busy, and confident

Brown Aura Meaning

Shades of brown are often in nature, such as the color of tree trunks, soil, dried grass, rocks, and many animals and birds. The Earth element is seen as stable, steady, and reliable. Therefore, people who manifest a brown aura are said to be down-to-earth, practical, and responsible.

What Are the Personality Traits of People With Brown Auras?

The personality of someone with a brown aura is grounded, reliable, and responsible. These people are practical and do not make decisions based on emotions. They may be natural at caregiving and often provide support for those around them. They are also good at problem-solving and completing tasks.

People with brown auras tend to do well in analytical jobs, such as research, accounting, engineering, or architecture. Because of their deep connection with the earth and physical things, they also enjoy activities such as gardening or cooking.

The Downside of a Brown Aura

Some aura readers believe that a brown aura can mean a person is going through a difficult time in their life without much clarity. For example, a brown aura may mean an individual is unsatisfied in their career and wants to make a change but doesn’t have it figured out yet. A brown aura could be a signal that you need to do some soul-searching and find out where you feel “stuck” in life.

How to Find Your Aura Color

There are various methods for finding out what your aura color is. You can have your aura read by an expert who either “sees” people’s auras or takes a picture of auras using a special camera. Aural photography, or Kirlian photography, is said to capture the image of a person’s aura as it emanates around them.

Spiritual advisors believe that people can learn to see their own auras or those of others, although it may take a lot of time. This practice has varying techniques, though most agree that the best way to see your aura is with an open and relaxed mind. Some people will squint their eyes and look at themselves in a mirror. Others have luck sitting down, meditating, and gazing at their hands.

What Does Science Say About Auras?

A research study published in the journal “Consciousness and Cognition” in 2012 revealed that aura readers may be experiencing a perceptual phenomenon called synesthesia. People with synesthesia report seeing sounds, feeling tastes, or associating people or other living things with a particular color. Their senses are blended. They may see shapes when they hear music or see the color blue when they hear a bell ring.

Interestingly, there have been many creative people throughout history with synesthesia, including the writer Vladimir Nabokov, artist Vincent Van Gogh, and musician Billy Joel. Scientists believe that aura readers may be able to see colors associated with people due to synesthesia.
