In this footage, we found a grizzly bear and a moose ready to charge at each other. The mama will protect her young at all costs. We might assume it is the grizzly bear who will protect her young as they are known as fierce protectors. However, in this video, it is actually the moose who has two young calves and will protect them at any cost!

Moose and Grizzly Bear Sighting at Glacier National Park

This next YouTube video takes us to the great state of Montana at the Glacier National Park. At the start of this video, we are simply astounded at the utter beauty of the surrounding landscape. It’s like you get the best of both worlds in one sight. We see the snow draped mountains in the distance, the slow, rippling blue water below, and the greenest trees you’ve ever seen on the shoreline.

This video was captured by Andrew Wood, who labels himself as a life adventurer! And as he goes along, he shares amazing footage he captures. Andrews shares his experience in the description below.

“Be sure to watch at 1:30, it gets even more exciting! A couple days before the other viral videos from here at the Many Glacier Hotel, the Grizzly went for the Mama Moose’s two babies. A day or two later, he got the first baby, which led to the other video that I took where the mama scared away the grizzly.”

At the beginning of this amazing footage, we see an enormous grizzly bear standing in the road, eagerly and hungrily looking at a small moose calf at the shoreline. The reason he does not rush in is because the mother moose is in the water close by. When the camera zooms in at 51 seconds, we are able to see there are actually two calves.

At one minute 31 seconds, this mother moose has had enough of this grizzly standing so close. She slowly gets out of the water and charges at the bear for a few feet. This was enough to make this grizzly bear hightail it out of there!

How Many Calves Will a Moose Have?

As we can see from this footage, this mother moose has not one but two calves. According to the Department of Environmental Conservation, moose can give birth to up to two calves in May or June.
