From north to south, Wyoming spans 276 miles. This is in comparison to its 375-mile width. This length and width are even across the state. That’s because Wyoming is shaped into a perfect rectangle. Let’s take a look at how long it would take to cross the state from north to south. Then, we’ll compare its height and size to other states. We’ll use Google Maps to show a trip from the north end of the state to the south end. We’ll start at the “Welcome to Wyoming” sign at the Montana border. Then, we’ll travel all of the way to the “Welcome to Wyoming” sign on Highway 287 by the Colorado border.

As you can see, this trip covers 344 miles and takes about five hours and ten minutes to complete. It is good to keep in mind that the mileage is going to be greater than the actual distance across the state. This is because you cannot travel in a perfectly straight line from one border to the other. Now, let’s see how Wyoming stacks up against other states in terms of height.
