See the World’s Tallest Animal Try To Fit Inside a Tourists Car

The beauty of cars allows us to take some of our beloved pets with us on vacation. Whether it is our scared dogs that don’t want to be left alone or our demanding cats that wish to stay with the family that adores them, we can often make a nice spot in the back of our cars or upfront with us in our laps where they can enjoy the ride. 

However, we can’t take all the animals with us in the car. Sometimes, the animals are just too big. In the video below, let’s say that the world’s tallest animal thought he would defy all odds, fit in this car, and ride away with this nice girl who stopped to say hello.

Giraffe Sighting on Safari Tour

The Instagram reel posted just above shares footage of a giraffe sighted alongside a safari tour in Africa. The African Animal Instagram page shared this video from Lisa Tora Jaqueline. According to her page, she is a Swedish girl living in the African wilderness. We see various videos of her with leopards, goats, and lions. 

Giraffe Trying to Get Into Car

This is likely a self-driving safari tour on which this tourist has found herself. The beauty of these self-guided tours is the ability to stop and see the animals you’d like and take your time to soak it all in before heading to the next one. The girl, Lisa, sees a giraffe and stops to take the time to say hello and relish in the magnificent beauty of the tallest animal in the world. 

According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, “Towering above the grasslands of Africa, giraffes are the tallest land mammal in existence, sometimes exceeding 18 feet in height.” 

And this giraffe wouldn’t have enough until he tried to fit inside the car and ride away with her. After sticking the majority of his neck all the way through, he found that the rest of his body would have nowhere to go. 

How Long is a Giraffe’s Neck?

As we can see from the video above, it was pretty comical to watch the giraffe try to fit even his head in. And the neck could barely fit inside the car, let alone try to attempt any other part of his body. 

According to the National Library of Medicine, a giraffe’s neck can reach up to 9.9 feet in length. Let’s put this into perspective a little bit: The average man is approximately under 5.9 inches tall. So, a giraffe’s neck can almost be twice as tall as a man’s entire body. 

In addition to the giraffe’s impressive neck length, it can also weigh up to 600 pounds. And despite popular opinions, the giraffe’s neck has the same number of bones that a human even has! 

In our opinion, this adds to the beauty of the world’s tallest animal! And, we might add, the world’s longest neck.
