One of the most exhilarating things that we can see in the wild is an animal fight. Why do you think we are so drawn to it as humans? This video, to date, has over 1.7 million views. It seems that the videos that we come across here at A-Z Animals that have the most views are always those with the most intense fights. Perhaps the reason that we are so drawn to them as humans is because it is not within our nature as humans to fight. And so we are drawn to a world where fighting is the norm.

Whether we are on the plains of Africa and watching vicious fights between two male lions asserting their dominance for the territory that they “own.” Or if we go to the ocean and watch a shark rip into a sea lion. No matter if it is a fight for mating, territory, food, or dominance. Fights happen everywhere and at all times of the day and night. We see such a situation in Alaska below.

This next YouTube video posted below that we found takes us to Lake Clark National Park. This park is located in the great state of Alaska. This video was uploaded by the channel bradjosephs. According to his channel, Brad is a wildlife expedition guide. He works in Alaska, Borneo, China, and Canada and lives in the Ozarks of Arkansas. He shares his description of what happened in the footage he captured below.

“This is the longest,  most intense bear Interaction I  have ever witnessed in my 25 years of guiding on the Alaska peninsula.  Filmed on the border of Lake Clark National Park.  Two giant males compete for breeding season dominance in a sedge meadow.”

At the start of the video, we see an enormous brown bear that is walking. Just a few seconds later, we see another large brown bear come by. And the two immediately start fighting. This fight is intense, to put it mildly. There are several moments throughout the video where it looks as though they will calm down and stop. But that is when they seem to get even fiercer than before!

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, they have this to say about the brown bears in their state.

“Brown bears (Ursus arctos), also known as grizzlies, occur throughout Alaska except on islands south of Frederick Sound in southeast Alaska, west of Unimak in the Aleutian Chain, and Bering Sea islands…To minimize confusion, this report uses the term “brown bear” to refer to all members of Ursus arctos.”
