You’ll find gas at Casey’s to be $3.31 for regular and $4.01 for premium. This Casey’s is also great because it’s close to the airport. At the Circle K, fuel will cost $3.31 for regular and $4.12 for mid-grade. In addition to the gas prices, customers also rave about the great coffee and hot snacks.

4. Murphysboro, $3.38
Located in Jackson County, you’ll find the city of Murphysboro, and it’s there where you’ll find affordable gas at the AmStar station. Located on Walnut Street, the AmStar has regular gas for $3.38 as of today. AmStar is not as popular or widely known as most of the other gas stations on this list, but reviewers say that it has a friendly staff and easy access.

Visit the city of Perkin, and you’ll find several gas stations that sell low-cost gas. There are two Casey’s in this area. One on Court St and another on N 8th St. As of the time of this writing, both are selling gas for close to $3.40 per gallon for regular. Midgrade at the Court St station will cost around $3.80. Just like the other Casey’s on this list, both stations were praised for friendly service, good donuts, and great ice.
There’s also a Thorntons gas station in Pekin on Court St that’s selling gas for around $3.45. Thorntons is a classic gas station that always has good gas and stellar service. Reviewers say that the station has everything you could ever need and friendly attendants. Finally, there’s a Circle K on N. Capital Street where gas is also $3.40. They also have a rewards card that could save you even more.
Pekin is a nice little town that has a lot to offer for visiting families. There’s the gorgeous Maquet’s Springs Park, and an ice cream and mini golf center.
7. East Peoria, $3.39
If you have a Costco membership, head to East Peoria, and you can get gas for under $3.39 as of the time of this writing. This station is on W. Washington St, and you can’t miss it. Premium will be over $4. Reviewers love that this gas station has friendly attendants, and it’s usually a less expensive option. Plus, once you’re done filling up, you can head into Costco for endless snacks.
While you’re in East Peoria, check out the Peoria Riverfront Museum and bring the kids to the Caterpillar Visitors Center, where they can see huge tractors. Parents can also visit the Par-A-Dice hotel and casino afterward.
8. Effingham, $3.43
Finally, if you live in Effingham County, then you have numerous choices for inexpensive gas. No matter where you are, you won’t be far from one of the places with the cheapest gas in Illinois since at this time, many of the stations have regular-grade gas for as low as $3.43. At the MotoMart on N. 3rd St, you can get fuel, and you’ll also have great service and a friendly staff.
There are also a couple of Casey’s stations on Willow St. and Banker St. that have gas close to the $3.45 mark. If you find yourself on the Ave of Mid America, there’s a Murphy USA station that also has great prices.
