We see animals that are bold every day in the wild. A mother bear will bravely defend her cub against a male predator. Lion and Hyena Fight in Zimbabwe
The YouTube video posted at the top of this blog post takes us to the land of Zimbabwe, South Africa. The Snakes in Zimbabwe YouTube page posted this short clip. This recent clip includes videos of animals such as elephants, deer, antelope, and birds.
King of the Jungle Vs. Hyena Fight
As the short clip starts, we see the king of the jungle causing a dust storm to kick up. This clan of hyenas has made the mistake of being too bold by messing with this male lion.
We see that a safari tour has stopped to see this intense fight happening mere feet from them. The lion chases after one hyena, does an Olympic-type leap over him, and flips over backward. As the king of the jungle, he’s showing them who is the boss. And that they have messed with the wrong one.
It was not long before this safari sped off. This aggressive fight was getting too close for comfort to keep these tourists safe.

Elands are the largest members of the antelope family, but they are also the slowest, only able to run about 20 mph.

Africa is known for its famous “Big Five,” which consists of lions, African elephants, African buffalo, leopards, and black rhinoceros. These animals are very well-populated throughout the continent of Africa. This is why most videos that you may look at of African animals will have at least one of these animals.
In addition to the big five, Zimbabwe is known for having many antelope. The Kruger National Park is a famous national park where people from all over the world will come to vacation and take many different safaris. They state that about 72 species of antelope live in Africa, and 21 of those species can be found in the Kruger National Park.
As we can see from the video posted above, there is no shortage of seeing incredible animals like the lion and the hyenas while touring through Zimbabwe. Maybe this is your next vacation!
