The Clash of the Titans is a vigorous film about a war between humans and the gods. It’s one of the most intense fights that metaphorically took place. However, every day there are fierce fights that happen in the wild animal kingdom. Our minds might immediately go to the fights that happen between predator and prey. But, much of the time, fights can happen within a species. Let’s see this clash of the great rhinos in the video above!

Rhinos Viciously Fighting Each Other

The intense YouTube video posted at the top of this blog post takes us to the land of Africa or Asia, where the rhinoceros resides. The True Tracks Wild YouTube page caught wind of this video and had to share it with their followers. It is close to breaking one million views in just the three years since it was posted. This channel regularly shares footage of lions, vultures, antelopes, or hyenas.

Rhino Battle Ends in a Fatality

As the video starts, we see two massive rhinoceros are already duking it out in a great fight up a ways. The bystanders came across this and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to film this interaction. And we have to say that they were right to stay as far back as possible.

According to the Save the Rhino Organization, “Rhinos are speed machines! Running at 30-40 miles per hour…” With speed and precision like this, a human would not stand a chance. Lucky for the tourists, the rhinos were more interested in fighting each other than the humans peering in on this battle.

One rhino is losing this battle, and at several points in this video, we see the blood trickling down his tough, leathery skin. At 34 seconds, we see the bully rhino attempt to lift the rhino in front, and with such force, he can get him a few feet off the ground.

Sadly, it was reported that by the end of this video, shortly after the rhino with severe injuries died. As horrific as this seems, this is the way of nature and just goes to show how intense a rhino fight can be.

Do Rhinos Have Good Eyesight?

For as intense as rhinos can be in the wild, with all the glory of their size that is almost second to none in the wild, they have some of the poorest vision. It is so bad that the World Wide Fund shares that “Rhinos have poor vision. Rhinos’ eyesight isn’t great – they’re unable to see a motionless person at a distance of 30m.” (This is approximately 98 feet away!)

Rhinos will depend on their sense of smell to determine the threat or danger they need to confront. As we can see from the fight above, this rhino’s smell was very acute, which kept up this fight and chased his enemy around.
