Crustaceans, a small but mighty animal classification group of invertebrates, can be found scuttling across the ocean floor, scavenging for their next snack. Lobster, shrimp, crab, and crayfish, all belonging to the crustacean group, share common characteristics, from super shell armor to extreme claw strength.

Lobsters are called crustaceans.

Our five-day unit plan for kids delves deeper into the underwater world of crustaceans, exploring more about various types of crustaceans, their habitats, what they eat, who eats them, and unique adaptations that aid in their survival. Included in the unit plan are five days worth of comprehensive daily lesson plans, tailored for elementary-aged students, engaging activity worksheets, comprehension questions, vocabulary activities, writing prompts, graphic organizers and more!
