Horses, fascinating and powerful mammals, have historically been a significant part of human civilization for thousands of years. Renowned for their resilience and stability, their impact can be seen in the evolution of transportation, farming communities, therapeutic support, military contributions, search and rescue missions, and even recreational activities.

In our five-day unit plan, students will saddle up for an exciting adventure, exploring more about the imposing physical features and important characteristics of horses, delving deeper into various breeds, discovering differences between wild horses and domesticated horses, and learning more about how horses behave and communicate.

Included in the unit plan are graphic organizers, comprehension questions, daily lesson plans, teacher and student resources, writing templates, informal assessments, and more!
