As a family-oriented city, Irvine has various things for you to do and some fun places you can visit with your pup. Not only are dog parks the best place to go to exercise your dog, but they also let your pooch play with other friendly pups.

If you are planning on visiting any dog park, it is important your dog is fully vaccinated and is also well trained. This helps stop the spread of diseases and keeps everyone safe in the area.

Most dog parks have similar rules to keep the experience enjoyable and consistent. Rules of a dog park such as these are common in most dog parks:

  • Food for dogs and humans are not allowed in the park
  • All dogs must be vaccinated
  • Dogs must be well trained and listen to commands
  • No choke, prong, or spiked collars
  • Owners are responsible for the dogs they bring
  • Your dog must be spayed or neutered
  • No small children and babies in the park
  • No smoking
  • You must pick up after the poop of your pup

Each dog park’s rules may vary slightly. It is always best to check the rules of the dog park you go to.

Here are the 2 best dog parks in Irvine, California. Your dog will love socializing with other friendly pups and enjoy playing in the space offered.

Bark Park is not in Irvine but is a dog park just a short drive away in Costa Mesa, California. This dog park has two areas to keep small and large dogs separate. The small dog area is for pooches smaller than 30 lbs, as well as disabled and elderly dogs. Both sections are fenced-in with a chain-link fence. The off-leash park also has a double-gated entrance to secure your dog’s play area further.

Bark Park gives your pup a large grass, dirt, and concrete area to play. There are a few large trees for shade and plenty of seating around the park. A water fountain for dogs is located in the park, but you should bring water for yourself. Poop bags are also located in the park. If in the area, your dog will love to visit this park, running off its leash, and getting out its energy.

Open every day but Wednesday, Irvine Central Bark is a large off-leash area for your pup to play. This dog park is large, with two separate areas. One section is for larger dogs, and there is also a separate section for smaller breeds. At 3 acres large, this dog park is the best in Irvine to take your pup for a fun day.
