Pet-Friendly Event: Design for Dogs

Design for Dogs is a pet-friendly event in Phoenix that benefits the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA, the largest (and oldest) no-kill shelter in the state.

Design for Dogs has been an annual tradition since 2015 and usually takes place in February. This dog house design and building competition is organized by Facings of America and showcases some of the most creative dog-centric architecture in the world. This event includes a silent auction, fundraising activities, prizes, education, food, drinks, music, and more!

This pet-friendly event in Phoenix benefits the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA, the largest (and oldest) no-kill shelter in the state. Bring your furry best friend to check out the designer dog houses on display, and snag a photo or two!

Puppies and Pints at The Park at O.H.S.O Brewery

Ever wanted to go out for a pint (or two) but can’t leave your dog at home? Look no further than Puppies and Pints at The Park at O.H.S.O Brewery. This outdoor brewery features a large, fully enclosed dog park and a full bar so that both you and your dog can have the time of your life. All furry friends are welcome!

If you’re in the mood for a drink and some new doggie friends, head over to Puppies and Pints at The Park at O.H.S.O Brewery! This pet-friendly space in Phoenix is an excellent way to meet other dog parents. It’s also a fun place to hang out, with drinks, games, and even an outdoor movie screen.

Friends for Life Animal Rescue Holiday Photo Fundraiser

If you enjoy getting posed holiday photos of your pets, be sure to sign up early for a spot at the Friends for Life Animal Rescue Holiday Photo Fundraiser. This event takes place annually from mid-November to early December at the Friends for Life Animal Rescue. And Guess what? Dogs are welcome, but you can also bring your kitties for your holiday photos! Event staff provide the holiday background, many outfits, and even handlers to help your pet through their photo shoot.

Perhaps the best part of this pet-friendly event in Phoenix is that, if you choose, you can even have your pet’s photo taken with Santa. All proceeds benefit Friends for Life, so you can be confident that your holiday photo donations are going to a good cause! Plus, who doesn’t want themed holiday photos with their pets?

Is there anything better than a free, pet-friendly event? The Doggie Street Festival is a multi-city event that happens every spring. Described as a celebration of pets, this day-long event features live music, great food, and tons of fun for the (human) kids. 

2023 marks the 6th annual Doggie Street Festival in Phoenix; it’s a doggie event you don’t want to miss! Bring your furry friend for photo ops, prizes, vendor booths, expert vet advice, and more! Both you and your dog(s) can learn more about what you can do to help end pet homelessness while having a great time!

Phoenix Turkey Trot

Organized yearly on Thanksgiving, this 5K and 10K race is dog- and family-friendly. The Phoenix Turkey Trot even includes a mile-long “gobble dash” for kids and dogs who aren’t quite up for a 5K. But what’s even better than a Thanksgiving Day dog-friendly run? A Thanksgiving Day dog-friendly run with prizes for the best costumes!

This pet-friendly event in Phoenix benefits 2Gether We Live, a non-profit that helps underserved populations gain life experiences. So, if you like nothing more than spending your Thanksgiving running in a turkey costume, get your dog dressed up and head on to the Phoenix Turkey Trot!
