There are several animal games out there, and some are really fun because they’re multiplayer. You can play with your friends or family members and even team up with other players to form a bigger group. Some solo animal games are creative and enjoyable.

You can choose your own animal, and you can even create your own zoo. These are just some great animal games you’ll find on this page. This list is for people who like games with insects, exotic animals, and more. Each description will give you a better idea of whether it’s right for you.

Don’t worry about the console you play on; each game may have multiple platforms available. There’s a game for most consoles on this list, so you have a higher chance of finding a game. Put down your Game Informer and keep reading to find your new game!

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs is an excellent expansion for the Sims 4 game. You’ll have to have a copy of the Sims 4 to play this add-on. This game is fantastic for those who love building games and simulators. Customization is a significant aspect of the game, and that’s why over 30 million people play this game yearly. You start by customizing your character and the members you want to be added to your household.

You then go on to design a house. There are houses available fully furnished if you dislike that aspect. The funniest part of the expansion is you can customize pets as well! This allows you to create your real-life pet in the game and include their personality. Unique customization and life-giving efforts have gone into these critters.

With their odd habits, adorable animations, and exceptional connection opportunities, Cats & Dogs makes you feel like you have a living, breathing pet. You might effortlessly interact and care for your new animal friend for days. Each pet is unique, with more than 170 breeds to choose from. To your heart’s content, you can combine breeds, create original ones, and alter existing ones. This barely covers all the available fur modification, animal attire, accessories, and create-a-pet capabilities.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Like earlier Animal Crossing games, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is primarily a free-form experience. You can go for walks across your neighborhood and talk to your neighbors while you catch bugs, find shells, search for fossils, and dig for them. As you proceed, you earn money, which enables you to purchase a larger home and decorate it.

Using tools and items, you can further personalize the island by cultivating an orchard or removing trees to create a playground. Everything happens in this game in real-time. It will be daytime in the game if you play throughout the day. It will be nighttime when you play.

Although you can opt to live on an island in the southern hemisphere with reversed seasons, the seasons also fluctuate throughout the year. Animal Crossing is a cute relaxing game that doesn’t give much reason to get gamer rage. It is kid-friendly, with unique animals that all have personalities. This game has sold over 38 million copies since its release date. You should check this game out if you like low-maintenance games that help you unwind at night.

Stray

Unlike some stories or games, the cat in this game is not a superhero and doesn’t have powers or magic. You play as a simple cat. The simplicity of that idea works so well, especially since the characters you encounter and the tasks you are given don’t care too much that you are a cat. The robotic inhabitants of this cyberpunk universe typically communicate with you as they would anyone else. This is because you can squeeze into places others can’t.

Your feline form gives this usually harsh environment a charming and playful flavor, and there are many opportunities to put your obligations aside and have fun throughout. Things can be pushed off shelves, knees can be affectionately rubbed against, carpets can be scratched, and there is a special meow button that you can hit repetitively.

While your cat’s storyline of a lost adventurer attempting to find their home is relatively straightforward, the conflict you ultimately run against is effectively depicted. The gorgeously created metropolis you must navigate through is desolate without seeming depressing. It is full of content to learn about and endearing robot residents to converse with despite their mostly gloomy environment. Cyber fans and cat owners will enjoy playing as a cat trying to get home.

Little Friends: Dogs & Cats

You’ll love this game if you are old enough to appreciate the famous Tamagotchi game, where you feed them and take care of a random animal. While it’s the same basic concept as Tamagotchi, the graphics and gameplay are far more advanced. The pets come in a wide range of colors and sizes, with a good selection of breeds to choose from in both cats and dogs.

Regardless of which pet you choose, each one has unique preferences and personalities, as well as preferred foods and pastimes. To increase your pet’s friendship meter, you must treat them appropriately. Little Friends‘ virtual pet-raising system is incredibly organized. It can be compared to a simpler version of The Sims. The four bars indicate your pet’s happiness, hunger, thirst, and hygiene demands.

You must spend time with your dog or cat, engaging in various activities based on their needs at any given time, to maintain these bars at their best. While it may sound like a kid’s game, adults can enjoy it as a relaxing game or a way to pass the time. Kids will love it; it lets them learn how to care for an animal. It’s an excellent way to prepare them for a puppy or kitten!

Grounded

You can play the survival game Grounded in either first- or third-person. The main character is reduced to ant size and is forced to fight for survival in a backyard. The player character in the game must consume enough food and liquids to avoid starving or dehydration, which will cause them to lose their health. Spiders and bees are just a few of the many insects and bugs that live in the garden. In the game, many insects have distinct functions.

For instance, ladybugs can direct players to food sources, aphids can be cooked and eaten as food, and spiders are one of the game’s apex predators that will hunt down the players. To get dewdrops, players can also cut down grass. Arachnophobic gamers can choose how frightening the game’s spiders will be using an accessibility option that the game offers. Players will explore different backyard parts as they go through the game.

The game’s difficulty would gradually rise, and more hazardous enemies would be added. Players must constantly scavenge materials from the environment to build a structure that will allow them to protect themselves from hostile opponents, especially at night when certain insects become more vicious. The materials can also be used to battle adversaries to create various tools, traps, and weapons. Players must also control their stamina because prolonged conflict may tire the playable character. The game offers a four-player cooperative multiplayer option in addition to a solo mode.

Zoo Tycoon

In the video game Zoo Tycoon, the player manages a fictitious zoo. It is a zoo simulation. Throughout the series, changes have been made to the gameplay model first presented in the 2001 game Zoo Tycoon, although the overall plot and fundamental themes have not changed: By purchasing animals, building appropriate habitats for the animals, and allocating staff and money for animal maintenance and care, players must enhance a zoo.

Players must construct food/drink stands and an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere for guests, as the game’s ultimate objective is income. By maintaining tourist and animal satisfaction, more money is made. Visitors risk death if the animals are let loose from their pens. Players control a predetermined scenario in the scenario mode, where they must complete specific tasks in a set amount of time. The scenario unfolds as new items become available.

The Scenario mode and Challenge mode, first featured in Zoo Tycoon 2, place the player in predetermined scenarios with finite resources and require them to complete specific objectives. This mode is different because it is not progressive. Each game’s Freestyle mode is different, but it typically gives players the freedom to create a zoo from scratch, whatever they see appropriate. This is great for anyone who loves zoos.

About the Author

Creepy-crawly creatures enthrall Marisa. Aside from raising caterpillars, she has a collection of spiders as pets. The brown recluse is her favorite spider of all time. They're just misunderstood. You don't have to worry about squishing the creatures as her catching, and relocating abilities can safely move stray centipedes or snakes to a new location that's not your living room.
