The film “Twilight” was almost entirely filmed in and near Portland, Oregon, which does resemble how Forks, Washington, is described in the novel and film. The unique and modern Cullen House was filmed in Portland, while Bella’s House was shot in St. Helens, Oregon. While the Cullen House still stands, it’s a private residence, so visit cautiously and don’t bother the residents.

A lot of the scenes are shot outside. One of these filming locations is the beautiful Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. It’s a great state park with stunning scenery. You can hike, camp, fish, and more.

What about the beaches? There are also a few scenes in the film “Twilight” where the main characters are walking along the coast. While La Push Beach is a real beach, the scenes of this beach were filmed in Indian Beach in Ecola State Park.

Can You Visit Forks Washington?

While “Twilight” was filmed in Portland, it’s set in Forks, Washington, which is a real city! Forks is a popular place to visit. It’s the town featured in the movie and Twilight books! While the movie wasn’t filmed here, there are quite a few nods to the series in the town. For instance, within Forks is the Forever Twilight in Forks Collection, where you can see props and outfits from the films. This city is also home to the Forever Twilight in Forks Festival.
