Amazing Ants: Free Downloadable Unit Plan for Kids

From marching through gardens, crawling across sidewalks, retrieving food in your kitchens, and scurrying along back to their nests, ants can be found almost anywhere and everywhere. Small, but incredibly mighty, ants live in colonies by the thousands and thrive in structured, organized nests where every ant has a specific role.

Ants come in many different sizes and colors, with over 12,000 unique species discovered by scientists. While various species live in their unique habitats, all ants work together for the betterment of their colonies, finding food, caring for their babies, and protecting the nest.
