Giant pandas are adorable animals. These rare fluffy bears are endemic to China. These massive bears are currently listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Previously, though, there may have been fewer than 1,500 giant pandas in the wild, and they were listed as Endangered. Giant pandas are a real treat to see. Although a bear species, most of their diet is made up of bamboo shoots and leaves. They may also eat other grasses and plants. Giant pandas are known for their size, hence the use of the word ‘giant’ in front of panda. They can be anywhere from 3 to 6 feet long and may weigh over 250 pounds.
