From Predator to Prey — Watch a Bald Eagle Ambush a Hunting Osprey Outside Seattle

Hello. I enjoyed your article on the eagle chasing the osprey. This is not rare at all and happens all summer long here on Cape Cod. Eagles are very opportunistic hunters, and stealing fish from osprey is simple for them. It’s really cool to watch, and I’ve been able to get some great shots of it in progress if you are interested. The eagles are only after the fish and never attack or even touch the osprey. The osprey can easily outmaneuver the eagles but usually just get scared, drop the fish, and go grab another one. — Mike L.
